Before arriving at the farmhouse, you cross a long avenue, marked by the intense green of centuries-old pines and the soothing blue of hydrangeas, which helps to make the structure unforgettable.
The living stone and tuff dominate unchallenged everywhere, from the external wall to the lining of the building, a building of 1500 square meters dating back to the early twentieth century, renovated and enlarged in which the hotel rooms and the large restaurant are located.

Currently, pigs and farmyard animals are raised which represent the raw material for the production of cured meats and typical dishes, served in the company restaurant.
At first glance, large paddocks are striking where it will be possible to admire the private guarded horses of large structures, together with the very nice and sociable pony with children.
We also guard the hives with bees, for the production of chestnut honey that we use to accompany the cheeses and for the preparation of our desserts.

This is our philosophy, and it is precisely for this reason that we try to entertain children, making them come into contact with nature and animals.
Only in this way will they be able to discover that they belong to a world that most of the new generations ignore.
They will also have the opportunity to observe them closely through large paddocks where the animals are free to have fun.
The farmhouse, 10 hectares, has a botanical park with over 200 varieties of plants. We also grow aromatic essences (precisely sage, bay leaf, rosemary, fennel, thyme, rocket, oregano, mint) which are used for the preparation of the company’s products and typical dishes.
Behind the botanical park extend the hazelnut and chestnut groves that together with the wine characterize our company in particular, and more generally the province of Avellino in Italy and in the world.
The Monte Laura estate is located right in the middle of two mountains, Monte Laura and San Nicola. At the very ends of our estate there are wonderful paths suitable for all lovers of nature, mountain walks, trekking lovers and pleasant horseback rides.
The vegetation rich in chestnut groves, vineyards and fruit trees offers various suggestive panoramas where the plain of Montoro, Fisciano and, when the weather permits, the Gulf of Salerno is visible.
Along the path and for about 4km you will arrive at the enchanting Castello village with the mysterious charm of an abandoned village. On the same promontory is the Sanctuary of San Nicola (about 7 km from the estate) which is the oldest place of worship in Forino.
Tenuta Montelaura, thanks to its central position with respect to the sites of major tourist, cultural and gastronomic interest in Campania, is the ideal base for excursions throughout the region.
The Benedictine abbey of Loreto in Mercogliano (10 km) is a must for orchestral music lovers (with the international festival), those who love castles can range from Lower to Upper Irpinia, from Lauro to Bisaccia, who want to get lost in the traces of history can easily stop in Paestum (50 km), at the excavations of the Antica Abellinum in Atripalda (7 km) or get to Mirabella Eclano (35 km).
20 km away is the Sanctuary of Montevergine (from 1100, founded by San Guglielmo, houses the venerated Byzantine icon of Mamma Schiavona. It can be reached in seven minutes with one of the steepest funiculars in Europe).
60 km away is Materdomini, which houses the remains of San Gerardo Maiella, patron saint of mothers and children.

Just 40 km from the farmhouse, then, the irresistible Marian Sanctuary of Pompeii, and the ruins of the eruption of Vesuvius, celebrated all over the world.
